May 7, 2012. I've got some trouble with the DVD-R drive on my Macbook Pro (2010 model). The drive makes all the right noises, but doesn't eject anything. The disc is not spinning as far as I can make out, and has been in there for about 4 days now .. Shut down your Mac, turn it back on, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
